“The Old Man of the Sea“

From a young age, Douglas’ life has revolved around boats and the sea. From operating small boats and Sea Scouts as a kid, to the US Merchant Marine Academy (working as a cargo surveyor), an engineer on steam and diesel ships, and sailing all over the world as a deck officer on cargo ships (all while participating in small boats and sailing,) his life has been a progression of one nautical challenge after another. Plus, he has the “sea stories“ to tell for it! He has been surveying yachts and small craft in San Diego for the last 2 decades.
